92nd Street, NYC – Hip Hop
A gifted hip-hop dance artist and educator, Eli’s been on faculty at BLDC for over five years. His dance career was forged early in life as a student of Tae Kwon Do, while also discovering his love of hip-hop street-dance and the fine arts. These forms combined with passion, devotion, and experimentation led Eli to co-found Garden State Dance Project. His company exists to bring communities together through music and dance. Eli teaches at the 92nd Street Y’s Harkness Dance Center and works with organizations like New York City Ballet, Center for Arts Education and Arts Horizons. He is a graduate of DEL, the Dance Education Laboratory and co-author of a hip-hop dance curriculum which debuted through the 92nd Street Y’s Educational Outreach Center’s School Partnership Program. Eli truly loves sharing hip hop dance and culture with students of all ages and abilities, especially with those here at Brant Lake Dance Camp! His wife, Kathy and son Kaelen come to enjoy the magic of Brant Lake with him.
